BibleBox hardware finalised

The hardware side of the BibleBox project is now all sorted after the vinyl decals arrived today!  I like the look of it all, it’s come together well.

Antique Bible Box Protected valuable Bibles

I just discovered on Wikipedia that a Bible Box is known to be a “small container originally meant to store and/or use a Bible.”   Coooool!  It’s actually referring to an antique box, usually wooden, for protecting your Bible, which was usually a very expensive book.

Back in “the day” printed Bibles were expensive and owners looked after them by keeping them in wooden boxes which were often ornate in design. (more…)

Digital Bible Tracts – Safer and Secure?

A gentleman spoke at church this morning from a mission organisation which works in some countries where the good news of Jesus Christ is banned.

He told a story of a backpacker who left a Christian tract (small outreach brochure) in a hostel in one of these closed countries.  he was no doubt wanting to leave something which could impact the faith journey of another, and be a an impact for Christ in the life of another. (more…)

How the BibleBox works


Biblebox device 350x151The BibleBox is a portable wifi access point. It has its own battery and you can plug in a specially setup USB stick into it.  

Once you turn it on, look for the wifi network called “BibleBox files” and join it. After joining the wifi network, open your web browser (IE, Safari, Firefox…) and go to BibleBox.org. (more…)
